have the test or why the results may not be helpful include: - Taking some medicines, such as birth control
pills, phenytoin (Dilantin), pyrimethamine (Daraprim), methotrexate,
trimethoprim (Proloprim), pentamidine (Pentam 300), triamterene (Dyrenium),
primidone (Mysoline), and phenobarbital.
- Using too much
alcohol.
- Having conditions such as
vitamin B12 anemia or
iron deficiency anemia.
