FetoscopyHow It FeelsWhen you receive the injection to numb the skin around the needle
site, you will feel sharp stinging or burning for a few seconds. A sedative
will help you and your fetus relax; this should reduce the amount of discomfort
you feel. While the fetoscope is in your uterus, you may feel some pain or
pressure. After the procedure, you may feel faint or nauseated or have some
mild abdominal cramping. Avoid strenuous activity for 1 to 2 weeks following
fetoscopy. Then you can continue your normal activities, unless your doctor
advises otherwise.
