Cold AgglutininsWhat Affects the TestReasons you may not be able to have the test or why the results may not be helpful include:
- Taking antibiotics, especially penicillin and
cephalosporins.
- Having certain conditions that can give
false-positive results. These include
measles,
pneumonia,
infectious mononucleosis,
malaria,
peripheral arterial disease,
congenital syphilis,
cirrhosis,
anemia,
multiple myeloma,
chicken pox, and some tropical
diseases.
