Canada's childhood immunization schedules

National recommendations

For the national recommendations on childhood immunizations, see the Immunization Schedule Web site of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) at www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/im/immvac_e.html#immsched.

The site gives immunization schedules for infants and children from the Canadian Immunization Guide, 7th edition (2006), which also is online at www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/publicat/cig-gci/index.html.

Provincial recommendations

Child immunization schedules may vary in each province and territory. Check with your doctor or local health unit about the schedule that is recommended for children in your province or territory. You may be able to find the schedules online. For example:

  • British Columbia's schedule is at www.bchealthguide.org/immunization.stm.
  • Ontario's schedule is at www.health.gov.on.ca/english/public/pub/immun/immunization.html.
