Leriche's syndromeLeriche's syndrome is the term used when the following symptoms
related to
peripheral arterial disease of the legs are
present: - Muscle wasting (atrophy) of the
leg
- Buttock, thigh, or calf pain
Leriche's syndrome usually occurs in men and commonly also causes
impotence (erectile dysfunction). Impotence is common in men with lack of
adequate blood flow (arterial insufficiency). Blockages can decrease blood flow
to the arteries that supply the penis.
