Who is affected by epilepsy

Epilepsy most often begins in early childhood or after age 65 but can develop at any age.1 About 40 million people worldwide have epilepsy, with around 300,000 living in Canada and 2 million living in the United States.2, 3, 4 Epilepsy affects men slightly more often than women.
