Who is affected by Paget's disease

Paget's disease is the second most common bone disease (osteoporosis is most common).1Paget's disease:

  • Is found most often in people living in Western Europe (Britain, France, and Germany) or people of Western European descent.2
  • Occurs about equally in men and women.1
  • Is rare in people younger than 40, and is most common in people who are older than 50.3 The risk of developing this disease increases as a person ages.
